By Emmanuel Jacq, Co-Founder and Senior Counselor Embarking on an organization working with deaf people is pursuing a commitment to humanity. I am always asked: "What can I do to help others?" This desire can drive us to commit ourselves without fear. Modern law has helped ensure a framework of representation in underrepresented communities. It is time for the Deaf community to step in and help in emergency situations around the world. Serving deaf victims in emergency situations is prioritized by geographical proximity and immediate action. IDE aims to exchange common values and humanitarian ideas in pace with the changes and expectations of society. IDE’s beliefs are based on the value of commitment to Deaf victims and respect for others. More than ever, Deaf people today have a major responsibility that can be summarized in a simple phrase: To understand, to share and to act. |
